The psychometrician profile works on key research tasks, manages data workflows, conducts advanced statistical analyses. They select and implement the most appropriate technical and methodological solutions to ensure scientific rigor and efficiency. They also provide to quality control, and prepare reports and presentations for both internal and external stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

Data Management & Quality Assurance

• Oversee data cleaning procedures, ensuring accuracy, validity, and consistency according to internal procedures.
• Manage and integrate large-scale databases for multi-study research projects.
• Develop and implement research quality control protocols, monitoring compliance, according to internal procedures.

Data Analysis & Reporting

• Perform advanced descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, with a focus on psychological test norming and psychometric validation.
• Select and apply the most appropriate statistical methods to ensure scientific rigor and methodological accuracy.
• Produce high-quality visualizations and synthesize research findings into clear and accessible reports
• Conduct critical reviews of analyses and visual outputs to ensure clarity, consistency, and methodological robustness according to internal procedures.
• Draft and review research reports, technical manuals, and methodological chapters according to internal procedures.
• Conduct critical review of reports ensuring clarity, accuracy, and methodological rigor.

Education & Training

• Master’s degree in Quantitative Psychology, Methodology, Psychometrics, or related fields (required).
• PhD or equivalent research experience (preferred).
• Training in modern psychometric and statistical methodologies.
  

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge of test creation statistical procedures and psychometric validation methods.
• Proficiency in R coding (required); experience with additional tools (SPSS) (preferred).
• Experience in database management, data cleaning, and quality control procedures.
  

Professional Experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience in test publishing, applied research, or academic research environments (preferred).
  

Soft Skills

• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
  

Languages

• Italian and/or Spanish proficiency.
• English proficiency (minimum B2 level).
