Private Equity Associate

Algebris Investments is an independent global asset manager, founded by Davide Serra in 2006. Financials have been at the core of its expertise since inception, spanning across credit, equity and private debt. Over the years, the firm has widened its capabilities to global credit and global equity, including Italian equity. On the private investments side, the firm supports the transition to a greener and more sustainable economy, via its private equity solutions. The Role

We seek a driven and self-motivated Private Equity Associate with a technical background (4-6 years’ experience) to evaluate and execute investments. This role involves comprehensive due diligence, financial modelling, active portfolio support, and contributions to fund operations.

Key responsibilities

• Deal Sourcing and Evaluation:
• Proactively identify and source promising companies active in the energy, environmental and digital transition space.
• Conduct initial screenings and assess investment viability.
• Analyse market, industry and technology trends.
• Due Diligence and Financial Analysis:
• Perform technical, financial, ESG and commercial due diligence.
• Develop financial models and valuation analyses.
• Evaluate industrial implication and regulatory risks.
• Investment Execution and Portfolio Management:
• Prepare investment memos and presentations.
• Assist in structuring investment terms.
• Monitor and support portfolio companies.
• Contribute to investor reporting.

The candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (BA, economics, engineering) is preferred.
• 4-6 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, consulting or similar would be preferable.
• Strong analytical skills and top-tier financial modelling skills.
• Entrepreneurial with excellent judgement and the ability/desire to take ownership and responsibility.
• Proactive with a strong work ethic.
• Resilient with an ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Results-driven.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the proven ability to collaborate in a meritocratic and entrepreneurial team/
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Fluency in both Italian and English
