We are looking for a Proposal Engineer
Key Responsibilities
Develop, evaluate, and maintain pricing models to support strategic price decisions and margin optimization.
Analyze cost structures, bill of materials, production routings, and supplier data to determine accurate product cost drivers.
Creation and execution of price books and agreements.
Data Management & Advanced Excel Analytics
Use Excel (including Power Query, Power Pivot, complex formulas, nested logic, advanced charting, and data modelling) to process and analyse large datasets.
Build automated tools, dashboards, and templates to improve pricing efficiency and visibility.
Validate and cleanse pricing and cost data to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems.
Preparation of supporting documentation and checklists, consolidation of supplier quotes, review of actual costs incurred, and maintenance of supporting evidence and records related to Cost And Pricing Analysis ("CAPA") processes.
Creation and maintenance of Long Term Pricing Arrangements ("LTA"), ensuring timely notification to Commercial and Product Management of renewals, provision of supporting analysis and pricing recommendations, and facilitating approval process.
Work closely with regional sales teams to provide pricing guidance, analyses, and recommendations for customer quotations and RFQs.
Partner with Product Managers to understand value propositions and market positioning for technically complex products.
Support contract pricing reviews, discount structures, and price-list updates.
Governance & Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, analytics capability, and speed-to-quote.
Support regular price reviews and annual price updates.
Work with Finance to ensure compliance with process and DoA requirements
Requisiti:
Strong technical curiosity and ability to interpret engineering drawings/BOMs.
Excellent attention to detail and data accuracy.
Strong communication skills—able to present insights to both technical and commercial stakeholders.
Business mindset with the ability to balance margin, competitiveness, and customer needs.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
