Finance Director

Our client is part of a leading international company in the services sector. For the Italian branch we are looking for the:

Finance Director

The future Finance Director is responsible to oversee the day-to-day activities of the country finance team and ensure that accurate financial and management accounts are produced. This means using accounting and economic skills to evaluate operating data, detect business trends and prepare financial statements that comply with organization standards, regulatory requirements and IFRS/Italian GAAP knowledge, accounting principles, tax reporting and issues.

Therefore, the major responsibilities will be:

• Establish finance as a true ‘business partner’; provide real value through the provision of quality, timely and accurate information, highlighting issues and trends;
• Ensure external reporting is of the highest quality – group reporting, statutory accounts and other presentations as needed;
• Act as financial advisor to the Country Manager, supporting strategic decisions (expansion, investments, M&A, new academies);
• Maintain strong coordination with the corporate finance team, ensuring consistency in policies, processes, and reporting;
• Oversee internal and external audits, ensuring robust financial governance;
• Manage and develop the local finance team, fostering talent and capabilities;
• Drive improvements in financial systems and tools, contributing to global efficiency.

The ideal candidate has already had a strong financial/accounting experience within an international, dynamic, fast growing scaleup company operating within services sector. Experience in VAT exempt businesses is a plus.

Fluent English strictly requested.
