Project Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Project Engineering Manager to join the Company Project Engineering Discipline and become a part of our Team in Sesto San Giovanni (Milan).

Your role and responsibilities:

• Ensure that the engineering is developed in respect of Contract, Quality, Safety, and Environment requirements, within the specific Time Schedule and Cost.
• Lead the engineering project team allocated to his project, defining main guidelines, engineering development strategy and defining the project tasks.
• Interact with the Client and Partners as focal point for technical matter.
• Prepare the Project Engineering Plan.
• Prepare the deliverables planning in line with the project schedule. Control, review and monitor any progress deviation from the plan. Set up recovery plan as necessary.
• Control the engineering quality to ensure achievement of KPI targets.
• Authorize the multidisciplinary deliverables as defined in the Engineering Plan and in Procedure. Authorize the issue for construction status of the engineering deliverables.
• Ensure the issuing of engineering subcontract (technical specification, technical evaluation etc.) and manage the engineering subcontractor together with involved disciplines, defining schedule of deliverable issue, deliverable quality, approving interim progress, assess the application of liquidated damages, analyze claims and back-charges or engineering changes.
• Together with the Project Manager, motivate the project team, using soft skills, as for example leading, encouraging, supporting, defending, managing conflicts of people belonging to the team.
• Focus the attention of the project team on project constraints and take actions for solving problems, found during engineering development.
• Manage the design change , either external ( Client, Partner, Vendor, Subcontractors) and internal.
• Support Proposal Dept. during bid phase, defining technical solutions and relevant quantity.
• Support the Construction Department in issuing the work requisition (quantity, scope of work, work description etc.) and bid technical evaluation.
• Keep updated with the engineering business and more in general with the Oil&Gas industry.

Our ideal candidate has the following core competencies:

• Bachelor/Master Degree in Engineering.
• Experience in leading a group of engineers.
• 5 years as Project Engineer, 2 years as PEM in Oil&Gas/Petrochemical/Energy EPC projects .
• Fluent written and spoken English.
