This is a fantastic opportunity to join MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company, the global leader in maritime shipping, and play a key role in supporting MSC’s strategy for digitalisation and business growth.

As a Data Analyst-Data Modeller you will be part of MSC’s BI team, an agile and global team delivering an interconnected data platform to serve business users, products, and data science across business domains. The Data Analyst – Data Modeller will be responsible for designing data solutions that move data from source to target.

The Data Analyst-Data Modeller will also ensure the data is of a high quality in order to be trusted by downstream users. The successful candidate must have solid hands-on experience with data modelling, data mappings, designing data flows and data solutions in the areas of data warehousing andor big data.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the Product Owner, Business Analysts and stakeholders to understand the business requirements
• Analyse data from key source systems and develop data models for a better understanding of the source systems
• Support the Data Architect in developing data architecture
• Create data flow diagrams, data mappings and scenarios that transform the data from source to target
• Understand the data and requirements at a deep level and ensure that the BI solution is of high quality in terms of accuracy, completeness, consistency, timeliness, uniqueness and validity
• Understand and support Business Analysis, Data Engineering and Data Integrations
• Collaborate with the rest of the team to developing, implementing and executing test strategies

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Strong experience on SQL and Json
• Experience with Agile delivery
• Experience with data mappings and data cleansing
• Experience with modelling relational, dimensional, conceptual, logical and physical data models
• Experience with structured, semi-structured and unstructured data
• Experience with modelling in a team against company standards
• Excellent data modelling skills and long experience with using various data modelling tools (previous experience with ERwin is a bonus)
• Fluency in English (oral and written)
