Your Role

This is a technical support role focused primarily on Energy Metering and Monitoring Relay products, while also covering the broader product portfolio. The role combines technical support, troubleshooting, customer interaction and training activities in an international environment, and reports to the Quality and PSS Manager.

As Product Support Specialist, you will act as a technical link between the market and internal functions such as R&D, Quality and Product Management, supporting customers and local organisations in understanding applications, resolving technical issues and identifying potential product adaptations that may enable business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing technical support on energy meters, power monitoring devices, monitoring relays, and other products related to energy measurement, monitoring and energy efficiency
• Supporting customers, distributors and local Product Support teams in product selection, application, configuration and troubleshooting
• Capturing specific customer or market requirements and identifying potential modifications, adaptations or customizations of existing products that could support business opportunities, in cooperation with Product Management and R&D
• Analyzing field issues and distinguishing between product behaviour, application conditions, wiring, configuration, installation or possible product defects
• Reproducing reported problems through laboratory testing whenever technically feasible, using a structured troubleshooting approach
• Performing electrical and functional tests using standard laboratory and diagnostic equipment, collecting clear technical evidence for escalation to R&D or Quality when required
• Participating in technical meetings and providing onsite support when remote analysis is not sufficient
• Contributing to troubleshooting documentation, technical guides and internal knowledge sharing
• Supporting technical training for local PSS teams, distributors, system integrators and customers, after an initial training period
• Participating in national and international business trips for technical support, troubleshooting, training and customer activities

Your Profile

• Technical background in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Automation or a related field
• Solid basic knowledge of electrical engineering and electronics, including: single-phase and three-phase electrical systems; voltage, current, power, energy and power factor; electrical measurement principles, current transformers and electrical loads; basic analogue and digital electronics; relay outputs, digital and analogue signals; ability to read electrical diagrams and basic electronic schematics
• Basic knowledge of industrial communication protocols, particularly Modbus RTU / RS485, considered an advantage
• Comfortable using common laboratory equipment such as digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, electrical loads and measurement/diagnostic instruments
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured and methodical troubleshooting approach
• Practical, hands-on attitude and genuine curiosity about how products and applications work
• Ability to translate customer needs into clear technical requirements or potential product adaptations
• Good communication skills, able to explain technical topics to audiences with different levels of expertise
• Customer-oriented mindset combined with an objective, evidence-based technical approach
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Previous experience in technical support, industrial automation, electrical measurement, or energy metering/monitoring is an advantage but not mandatory
• Good written and spoken English required; additional languages are an advantage
• Availability for national and international travel is required
