Who we are

The RFOC Software R&D organization designs, develops and delivers the software required to support the product roadmaps of the RFOC Sub-Group divisions. We ensure that our software meets high quality, safety and security standards while matching market requirements in terms of performance, functionality and time-to-market. Within this organization, we are looking for a Software Quality Assurance Specialist (Quality Champion) who will work transversally with different product teams to support and strengthen our software quality culture and practices.

What you will do

As a Software Quality Assurance Specialist / Quality Champion, you will:

• Act as the quality reference for one or more software product teams
• Support teams in tailoring and applying the RFOC software development and quality processes
• Help define and track quality milestones (reviews, test readiness, release readiness, KPIs, etc.)
• Contribute to process compliance with internal procedures and applicable safety/security requirements
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits (preparation of evidence, follow-up of actions)
• Review key work products (requirements, design, tests, reports) from a quality perspective
• Promote best practices (reviews, test strategy, traceability, configuration management, CI/CD, automation)
• Collaborate closely with developers, project leaders and other stakeholders to balance effort and quality goals
• Contribute to continuous improvement of our processes, methods and tools, based on feedback and lessons learned

Who you are

• You have a background in software (e.g. Software Engineer, Embedded Developer, Tester, System Engineer) and a good understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Experience in software quality assurance, process, audits or safety/security is a plus; otherwise you show strong motivation to learn and grow quickly in this direction.
• You are comfortable discussing technical topics (e.g. requirements, design, tests, code) with development teams.
• You have a structured and analytical mindset, with attention to detail and a focus on reliability and robustness.
• You demonstrate strong communication and relational skills and you enjoy working transversally with multiple teams.
• You are able to negotiate and influence to find realistic compromises between quality, effort and planning.
• You are curious, open to feedback and willing to continuously improve both your skills and the way we work.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required; French or other languages are a plus depending on your location.

This position is suitable both for someone with prior QA experience and for a senior or motivated software developer who wants to move towards a quality / process-oriented role with transversal impact. The position can be filled as well in Grenoble, Le Bourget du Lac, Agrate, #MDRF, #RFOC MDRF perimeter only.
