We're partnering with a leading financial services organisation operating at an international level, supporting critical technology platforms and complex integration environments.

They are looking for an experienced Senior webMethods Developer to join their technology team on a long-term freelance engagement. This is an excellent opportunity for a specialist with strong webMethods experience who can take ownership of technical analysis, solution design and implementation within a complex enterprise environment.

The Role

• Position: Senior webMethods Developer
• Location: Fully Remote, Italy
• Contract: Freelance
• Duration: 12 months + extension
• Start Date: Immediate
• Experience: 5+ years' webMethods experience
• Language: Fluent English
• German: Advantageous

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical analysis of business and technical requirements.
• Design and implement new applications and integration solutions using the webMethods platform.
• Develop, configure and maintain enterprise integration solutions.
• Work across multiple webMethods modules within a complex financial technology environment.
• Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to define effective integration architectures.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across integration solutions.
• Contribute to application development, testing, deployment and continuous improvement.
• Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum environment where applicable.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years' commercial experience with webMethods, version 10.x or later.
• Strong experience with webMethods Integration Server.
• Strong experience with My webMethods Server.
• Ability to perform technical analysis, design and implement applications using webMethods.
• Strong understanding of enterprise integration concepts and architectures.
• Excellent problem-solving and technical analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with wider technical teams.

Required webMethods Technologies

Strong hands-on experience with:

• Integration Server – Must have
• My webMethods Server – Must have
• API Gateway – Required
• Universal Messaging – Required
• Terracotta – Required
• BPM – Required

Nice to Have

• Previous experience as a Java Developer.
• Previous experience as a .NET Developer.
• Experience working with financial services or banking organisations.
• Experience working within Scrum/Agile teams.
• German language skills.

• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Excellent team-working ability.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable working within complex enterprise technology environments.
