Within the Space Division, we are looking for a Software Engineer (PEL) for our office in Campi Bisenzio (FI), preferably, and/or Nerviano (MI).

The person will be responsible for coordinating activities for the development of embedded software in the space sector for electro-optical payloads and will be responsible for:

• Coordinating software development activities throughout the product lifecycle, according to standards for safety-critical embedded SW (DO178, ECSS, ...);
• Conducting co-engineering sessions with the instrument systems group for consolidating system requirements and software specifications;
• Monitoring the progress of activities and acting as the interface to the program for scheduling aspects;
• Technical interface with the client;
• Coordinating and monitoring activities assigned to sub-suppliers;
• Developing embedded software in an RTOS environment starting from requirements.

Education:

• Master's degree in STEM fields

Required experience level:

• Expert: 3-5 years of experience in the role

Technical skills and knowledge:

• Knowledge of the software development process according to standards for safety-critical embedded SW (DO178, ECSS, ...);
• Ability to manage and draft project documentation required in the development process;
• Knowledge of real-time systems;
• Knowledge of MISRA rules for C;
• Experience in requirements management and project documentation.

How does the selection process work?

Following the collection of applications, the CVs most in line with the required qualifications are evaluated and identified.
