Presales System Engineering Lead (Powertrain)

POSITION SUMMARYThe Pre-Sales Engineering Team Leader for Integrated Solutions plays a key role during the early stages of projects and proposal development for our customers.

This position requires competencies across multiple technical disciplines (architecture, civil, mechanical, HVAC, electrical, monitoring and control systems, and fire protection) necessary for developing technical solutions.

The role also demands people management and leadership skills, as well as the ability to understand and interpret customer requirements and proposals from both technical and business perspectives.RESPONSIBILITIESLeading a multidisciplinary team of engineers, developing design during the proposal phase of projects (modular data centers, power rooms, cable landing stations)Reading and understanding RFQs and tender documentationInterpreting customer requirements received through the sales teamUnderstanding relevant codes and standardsCoordinating technical disciplines (architecture, civil, electrical, HVAC, monitoring and control systems, fire protection)Technical coordination with customers and suppliersCoordinating and supervising the preparation of technical documentation for Vertiv modular data center solutionsReviewing documents prepared by team membersIncorporating customer requirements into proposed solutionsProviding technical assistance and information during sales activitiesInternational travel for customer meetings, seminars, and trainingsQUALIFICATIONSBachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in engineeringMinimum 7 years of experienceExcellent knowledge of data center design, understanding of technical systems, functionalities, and architectureStrong written and verbal communication skills for working with multiple engineering and manufacturing teams to translate architectures and concepts into design and implementationClient interaction for presenting solutions and concepts, and through documented specificationsLeadership skillsTime management and self-motivationComputer skills: proficient user of Windows, MS Office incl.

- 65,000 Euro gross per year (based on a 40-hour work week)—salary ranges for other geographic localities may vary.
