Industrial B2B Bid and Product Quotation Specialist

Location: Province of Naples, Italy

Company: Leading manufacturer of electrical components for industrial applications

Mission: Drive the efficiency and accuracy of our quotation and bid processes. Ensure that every product quote is technically sound, commercially viable, and delivered with speed and precision. Support strategic customer engagements, maintain critical product and cost data, and continuously improve the tools and workflows that power our quoting capabilities.

Responsibilities:

1. Quotation & Bid Support:

o Prepare and support commercial offers and bids using internal pricing tools, ensuring completeness and accuracy of quotes.

o Collect and validate the technical and cost data required for quotations.

o Track and analyse quotation outcomes to improve future win rates and process performance.

o Product Data & Documentation:- Ensure every quoted/invoiced product has a complete and accurate BOM and technical registry.

o Support the classification of product families to speed up the quotation process.

o Maintain updated unit cost information and calculate contribution margins where needed.

o Create and review data sheets and supporting drawings (CAD).

o Keep the Pricing Tool updated and support defining and implementing pricing tools for high-impact business cases.

o Tools & Process Support:- Act as key user for pricing tools and ERP systems during quotation phases.

o Support the implementation and improvement of pricing and quoting tools for high-impact use cases.

o Maintain internal databases and ensure correct technical archiving of quotation-related materials.

o Ensure that all products quoted and invoiced have a corresponding BOM and complete registry.

o Support the updating of unit costs and the calculation of the contribution margin of products.

o Support the definition of product families to speed up the quotation process.

2. Reporting & KPI Monitoring:

o Update reports and monitor KPIs related to bid success rates, lead times and quotation efficiency.

o Track planning changes impacting quotation timelines.

o Support automation of the quoting process and recording commercial outcomes of quotes to implement necessary corrective actions.

3. Reporting and KPI Monitoring:

o Support the reports updates and KPI monitoring.

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or equivalent experience

· Technical Skills

o Proven experience in bid and/or pricing management.

o Proficiency in using SAP or similar ERP systems.

o Experience in Manufacturing and/or in HVAC-R, industrial kitchens, or other industrial applications of temperature/humidity sensors an advantage.

· Languages:

o Fluency in Italian

o Good command of English (B1 or above, will be tested during the selection process).

o Knowledge of other European languages (Portuguese, Spanish, French, German) an advantage

· Advanced Microsoft Office skills:

o Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables), Word (revisions, cross-references), PowerPoint (timed presentations)
