Saipem Offshore Construction (SOC) is a wholly owned subsidiary of Saipem S.p.A. SOC brings together all operational activities in Italy related to fabrication, technical services, maintenance, and logistics, providing essential support for the execution of offshore construction and offshore wind projects. Purpose of the position: As Offshore Installation Engineering Manager, you will be part of the Asset Based Services Business Line.

How can you support us?

• Manage project installation engineering team (disciplines as Installation Methods, Analyses, Survey, Pre-commissioning). Provide technical/managerial guidance and control to ensure aims/objectives are efficiently achieved as per project management/ engineering functional indication, in compliance with project specification for Health, Safety, Security, Environment and Quality procedures, client satisfaction;
• Ensure that all design requirements are met, all changes noted, and relevant interdisciplinary checks are carried out;
• Ensure permanent interfaces with all other engineering disciplines, operations, asset team and client are in place, to proactively resolve technical and operational problem in a timely and constructive manner
• Support the operation department in the preparation of subcontract documents for all subcontracted activities and contribute to the overall project planning and scheduling assuring the most suitable and efficient solutions and for installation methods and engineering;

What are we looking for?

• Education: Master’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Naval, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering
• Background: 0-10 years
• Languages: English (B2)

Technical Knowledge:

• Familiarity with fabrication and deepwater subsea installation techniques
• Knowledge of various types of lifting methodologies used offshore and associated risks
• Capability to perform structure installation (jacket, modules, manifolds, templates, small items), liaising with designing unit, lead method and vessel operation. Interpretation of installation engineering results.
• Capability to estimate Discipline items costs budget based on Project quantities and technical requirements according to relevant procedures, methods and tools. Capability to monitor the relevant activity progress and the actual man-hours spent vs the earned progress.
