Tourism Marketing Manager

Role purpose:

We are looking for a Tourism Marketing Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing the tourism strategy across Franciacorta Designer Village, Valdichiana Designer Village and Palmanova Designer Village, positioning each destination within its unique tourism ecosystem while contributing to the overall growth of the portfolio.

The role is accountable for driving domestic and international tourist visitation, increasing tourism-related sales and strengthening the Villages' positioning as leading shopping destinations in Northern and Central Italy. The Tourism and Marketing Manager will also support the wider FREY Premium Outlet portfolio, particularly Berlin and Malmö, working closely with each local team, and external tourism partners. The role is structured as 80% dedicated to Italian portfolio Villages and 20% to European Group Outlet destinations and combines strategic tourism planning, business development and destination marketing to maximize commercial opportunities across the portfolio.

Your tasks:

Reporting directly to the Center Manager of Franciacorta Designer Village, with a dotted-line (functional) reporting relationship to the Head of Marketing & Communication Southern Europe, you will be responsible for the following activities:

Tourism Strategy & Portfolio Development

· Define and implement the annual Tourism Marketing Strategy across Franciacorta Designer Village, Valdichiana Designer Village and Palmanova Designer Village.

· Develop tailored tourism action plans reflecting the unique characteristics, catchment areas and tourism flows of each destination.

· Identify priority domestic and international source markets for each Village while building a dedicated strategy.

· Build short, medium and long-term tourism growth strategies aligned with the overall business objectives.

· Position each Village as a premium shopping destination integrated within its surrounding tourism ecosystem.

· Develop strategic partnerships at both portfolio and Village level with key tourism operators.

· Negotiate commercial agreements and co-marketing initiatives aimed at increasing visitor acquisition and generating measurable return on investment.

· Lead the planning and coordination of integrated tourism marketing campaigns across the portfolio (ie. Shopping tourism campaigns, Destination experiences, Tax Free Shopping initiatives).

· Develop market-specific initiatives in collaboration with media, digital, CRM and PR teams.

· Represent the Villages at main International Tourism Fairs /roadshows/sales missions/fam trips

Destination Experience:

· Work alongside Village Marketing and Operations teams to continuously improve the tourism experience on site.

· Support the creation of tourism experiences that encourage longer stays, increased spend and repeat visitation.

Tourism Intelligence & Performance

· Produce regular reports and executive presentations with actionable insights and strategic recommendations.

Stakeholder Management

· Act as the main tourism point of contact across the portfolio, collaborating with Village Marketing Managers, CRM Manager, Social Media Manager and with external tourism partners.

Budget Management:

· Manage and be responsible for the annual Tourism Marketing budget.

Your profile:

The ideal candidate is a strategic tourism marketing professional with extensive experience in destination marketing, business development and international travel partnerships. You should combine commercial acumen with a collaborative mindset, working across multiple destinations to unlock synergies, develop scalable tourism initiatives and position the Villages as must-visit shopping destinations within the tourism landscape. Success in this role is measured by the ability to deliver sustainable tourism growth, strengthen destination awareness and generate measurable commercial impact across the portfolio.

Required Experience

· 6 –8 + years of experience in Tourism Marketing, Destination Marketing, Hospitality or Travel Industry.

· Proven experience managing multi-destination or multi-market tourism projects.

· Strong knowledge of international tourism distribution channels.

· Established network within the tourism industry.

· Experience working with public and private tourism organizations.

· Budget management experience.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Marketing /Tourism and or Hospitality Management.

Languages

· Fluent Italian and English required

· A third language is considered a plus.

We offer you an interesting and varied role within a growing company, a permanent contract under the Italian National Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Commerce sector (CCNL Commercio), a gross annual salary of approximately €50,000 depending on experience, an annual performance-based bonus, and €7.50 meal vouchers.

Location: Franciacorta Designer Village, on-site only (no remote work).
