Purpose

• As IT Solutions Quality Team Lead you ensure quality assurance and quality control for software developments. You manage a team of quality engineers and oversee all aspects of software quality management, acting as the primary liaison for quality-related matters with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring that all deliverables meet the required quality standards.

Responsibilities

• 
  
• You lead team of quality engineers to ensure software Quality Assurance and Control aligned with business goals and delivery commitments.
  
• You define the software quality strategy, testing policy, and quality standards to establish a consistent quality approach across solutions.
  
• You assign and prioritize quality activities across the team to balance workload, coverage, and roadmap commitments.
  
• You oversee structured test planning and quality practices to improve coverage, consistency, transparency, and release readiness.
  
• You coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to confirm deliverables meet required quality outcomes and expectations.
  
• You define and embed quality gates and automated checkpoints to prevent low-quality code from progressing through delivery stages.
  
• You develop team capability through coaching, feedback, knowledge sharing, and clear performance expectations.
  
• You monitor quality risks, metrics, and improvement opportunities to strengthen reliability, security, maintainability, and stakeholder confidence.
  

Education

• 
  
• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required.
  
• Relevant certifications such as ISTQB or Certified Manager of Software Quality (CMSQ) are essential.
  
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal) is required.
  
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  

Experience

• 
  
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software quality assurance, testing, or quality engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role overseeing quality practices across multiple projects or products.
  
• Proven experience defining and implementing software quality strategies, test policies, and quality standards to ensure consistent delivery of reliable, secure, and high-performing solutions.
  
• Strong hands-on experience in test planning, test management, defect management, and validation activities across functional, integration, regression, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  
• Experience leading and mentoring quality engineers, coordinating test activities, assigning priorities, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
  
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with development, product, infrastructure, and business teams to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
  
• Experience establishing quality gates, test automation practices, and reporting on quality metrics and risks to support informed decision-making and delivery readiness.
  
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban, with experience integrating quality assurance processes into fast-paced delivery environments.
