YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design, develop and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using PHP and Laravelm, taking full ownership of the process from architecture and design to deployment, monitoring and continuous improvement
  • Build and enhance intuitive and user-friendly front-end features using Vue.js and Vuetify, collaborating closely with the Product Owner to deliver polished, accessible and high-performance user experiences
  • Design, model and optimise data storage solutions across PostgreSQL and MongoDB, ensuring efficient schema design, indexing strategies and query performance as the platform scales
  • Manage and maintain AWS infrastructure (including EC2 and S3) and on-premises environments to ensure reliability, security and consistent deployment processes across all systems
  • Promote clean architecture and SOLID principles throughout the codebase to contribute to code quality, through peer reviews, technical discussions and the implementation of best practices
  • Advocate for a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach by creating comprehensive unit, integration and end-to-end tests to ensure system stability and enable frequent, reliable releases
  • Identify, analyse and resolve performance bottlenecks and scalability challenges in application code and infrastructure to proactively drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Participate actively in sprint planning, design workshops and retrospectives, while mentoring junior developers and contributing to the evolution of engineering standards and best practices.

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • Solid hands-on experience with PHP and Laravel, including Eloquent ORM, queues, service providers, and the development of clean, maintainable, and testable code
  • Strong front-end development experience with Vue.js; experience with Vuetify or a similar component framework is highly desirable
  • Good working knowledge of PostgreSQL and MongoDB, with a solid understanding of data modelling, schema design, indexing, and query optimization
  • Hands-on experience with Git, modern development workflows, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Independent, solution-oriented mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Highly motivated team player with excellent communication and collaboration abilities
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in Italian and/or German is considered a strong advantage

  • Total compensation: € 51.000-€ 77.000 including 20% variable bonus based on goal achievement
