Your Role

We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our HQ Team at Technogym Village in Cesena (Italy). You will be in charge of drafting complex legal documents, negotiating, structuring, interpreting, executing, and/or administering contractual documents.

This role will give you the opportunity to work in a high-profile environment, join an international and dynamic team, used to working under pressure and collaborating to reach key deadlines and goals. Therefore, we are looking for a professional with personal confidence, legal acumen and business savvy to operate in a highly regulated industry as he/she will also provide significant input in the development and implementation of legal compliance policies and procedures. You will additionally develop appropriate relationships for the legal department with other departments across the business as well as externally with local authorities.

As Legal Counsel, you will be responsible for counseling the business by giving pro‑active, professional, competent, (cost) effective and creative legal support by always bringing negotiation and drafting skills as well as business sense to deal with multiple functional teams in a rapidly scaling business. You will collaborate with business leaders by advising on legal risks, business strategies and other issues related to the Company’s businesses, and work independently as well as part of various teams to take on projects in addition to the daily day job.

Your Impact

• 
  
• Draft, review, negotiate contractual documents, mainly related to projects performed by the Company in different geographies, in both Italian and English;
  
• Advise on general business law issues and manage the legal issues of all areas of the company, including but not limited to contracts, corporate matters, operations, digital, sales & marketing, procurement, safety, security, litigations and sustainability issues;
  
• Attend meeting with clients, suppliers and/or project team;
  
• Fulfill any corporate obligations, including dealing with public notaries or local authorities and obtaining certificates or other corporate documents;
  
• Draft letters related to contractual obligations and/or pre‑litigations and/or claims;
  
• Advise on claims and ensure a proper connection with external lawyers in charge of litigations, ensuring that externally commissioned lawyers are provided with all necessary information to enable them to provide advice that is accurate, targeted and which represents the best value for money;
  
• Cooperate in developing procedures, matrices and policies to be adopted at Technogym Group level;
  
• Work on developing templates and standards and maintain a deep understanding of Group policies and procedures;
  
• Assist business teams on specific legal issues (e.g. IP, competition or IT laws);
  
• Provide high quality, targeted and accessible legal advice across a range of practice areas and work as a valued business partner with colleagues across Technogym Group, in order to secure and deliver effective solutions to legal issues;
  
• Drive continuous improvement within his/her own areas of responsibility;
  
• Take a proactive approach to risk management, ensuring legal risks and issues are identified, addressed and reported and, where appropriate, escalated;
  
• Anticipate and manage (legal) risks connected with or resulting from the business strategy and operations;
  
• Secure compliance of business operations with relevant laws and regulations;
  
• Deliver high‑quality work under deadlines;
  

About You

Ideally, you are passionate about working out, enthusiastic and proactive, while also down‑to‑earth and ethical. You are able to work in an international and challenging environment and are a proactive self‑starter, highly motivated with a focus on working at a high level under changing priorities and deadlines.

What you should bring

• 
  
• Law Degree with full marks (a Ph.D. in Law from an accredited Law School is preferable)
  
• Member in good standing in a European Bar
  
• 8‑10 years of experience in corporate and contract law (in law firms or as in‑house, preferable both)
  
• Strong legal experience in corporate and commercial matters
  
• Experience in managing external legal counsels
  
• Strong written and oral communication skills in both Italian and English
  
• Pragmatic approach to problem solving
  
• Good relational and communication skills and ability to thrive under pressure
  
• Proven track record of being highly effective in an unstructured business environment remote from corporate support
  
• Process oriented with strong organization skills to manage multiple projects in parallel and prioritize competing demands

Compensation Data

We believe great work deserves great recognition. For this role, we offer an annual gross salary (RAL) between €70,000 and €80,000, based on your level of experience, technical skills, and scope of responsibilities, in accordance with the applicable National Collective Labour Agreement (CCNL Metalmeccanici).
