Within the Operations & Supply Chain organizational unit of the Aircraft BU, we are looking for a Structural Assembly Methodologist/Technologist for the Venegono site. This role operates within Production Engineering with the objective of defining, developing, maintaining, and improving work methods, operational cycles, assembly instructions, timing analyses, and technical-production solutions necessary to ensure the correct execution of structural assembly activities for aeronautical assemblies, sub-assemblies, and complexes, while respecting quality, time, cost, safety, and process reliability objectives.

The Methodologist/Technologist serves as a technical reference point for Production, collaborating synergistically with internal departments and coordinating, when required, small groups of colleagues or work teams dedicated to specific analysis, standardization, improvement, or production problem-solving activities.

The resource will be involved in the following activities:

• Define, draft, update, and maintain structural assembly and aircraft assembly operational cycles, ensuring clarity of instructions, correct sequence of operations, consistency with applicable technical data, and adherence to company standards;
• Analyze structural assembly and aircraft assembly processes and contribute to defining the most suitable work methods, evaluating technical, production, logistical, ergonomic, quality, and safety constraints;
• Perform time analyses and timing, verifying consistency between operational activities, assigned times, available resources, technical configuration, and real working conditions;
• Support the industrialization of the structural assembly process, contributing to assembly logic, operational sequences, workstations, production flows, and requirements for equipment, jigs, tools, aids, and means necessary for execution;
• Provide technical support to Production, resolving operational, technical, and methodological problems and proposing solutions consistent with technical data and production needs;
• Collaborate with involved departments to resolve problems related to structural assembly, pre-flight, flight, and post-flight activities, updating methods and operational instructions when required;
• Manage and maintain technical production documentation, ensuring alignment among drawings, materials, and quality requirements;
• Participate in managing technical changes, non-conformities, reworks, and extraordinary activities impacting structural assembly cycles;
• Cooperate with Design, Quality, Production, Logistics, Equipment, and Planning to align technical requirements and industrial needs;
• Contribute to continuous improvement and standardization of work methods, reducing inefficiencies and operational criticalities;
• Support start-up, ramp-up, transfer, or revision of production processes;
• Operatively coordinate small work groups when required, monitor progress, and ensure deadlines;
• Monitor activities within competence, report criticalities, and contribute to recovery actions;
• Apply World Class Manufacturing and Leonardo Production System principles, fostering collaboration and problem-solving.

Education:
Technical degree, preferably in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.

Required Experience Level:
Expert (preferably in Production Engineering, Time & Methods, industrialization, production technologies, or technical support for structural assembly). Experience with World Class Manufacturing or Lean Manufacturing is preferential.

Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of aeronautical environment and production processes;
• Knowledge of aeronautical structural assembly processes for assemblies and sub-assemblies;
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, tolerances, and specifications;
• Knowledge of Time & Methods logic, industrialization, work cycles, and tooling.
