Within our Investment & Engineering team, part of Operations, we are looking for an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge machinery used in the production of power and telecommunications cables. In this role, you will play a key part throughout the entire lifecycle of industrial projects—from concept and design to installation, commissioning, and production start-up—working in an international environment and collaborating with teams across the globe. What you'll do As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will:

• Define electrical specifications for machinery and equipment used in cable manufacturing processes.
• Design and develop solutions involving electrical systems, automation, power electronics, drives, and control systems.
• Evaluate and select suppliers for electrical panels and automation solutions.
• Support the installation, commissioning, and start-up of equipment in Prysmian plants worldwide.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure technical excellence, reliability, and operational efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement by identifying innovative and robust engineering solutions.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering – Power Electronics
• At least five to seven years of professional experience in a technical role (technology or manufacturing), preferably in the Industrial sector. Training will be provided if necessary.

Similar role does not mean an experience in a Company manufacturing cables ; similar role mean an experience in process automation whatever has been the final product of the Company of the previous activity .

• English Proficiency
• Good communication, negotiation and team working skills. Ability to understand the context of the work environment
• Management of inter-departmental and multicultural relations, given the number of countries and plants of Prysmian
• Ability to identify potential problems, either technical or procedural, propose solutions and involve other colleagues in developing these solutions when necessary
• Availability to travel

What we offer

• Type of contract: Permanent Full time
• Location: Milan
• Applicable Collective Agreement: CCNL Gomma, Plastica, Cavi elettrici e affini.
• Job Level/Category in line with the applicable collective agreement.
• Gross annual salary no less than: € 45.000
• The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives
