ph3About the role /h3 pDesign Engineer at Ashby combines design and engineering to shape the UI and UX of a powerful talent acquisition product used by hundreds of thousands of users. /p h3Responsibilities /h3 ul liRedesign the mobile web app by working with customers, wireframing flows, implementing the design system, and turning wireframes into a polished UI. /li liBuild a set of flexible, composable components in the design system that enable other engineers to create consistent setup wizards across the product. /li liHelp product engineers improve information hierarchy and scannability to assist recruiters parsing candidate assessments. /li liExpand and enhance our in‑house design system for the benefit of the engineering and product teams. /li liConsult on bespoke design work needed by product engineers. /li /ul h3Qualifications /h3 ul li1–2 years of industry experience as a designer or engineer (Junior); 2+ years continuous experience for Design Engineer (mid/senior); staff level required for professional contributions to a design system and feature delivery. /li liStrong proficiency in both design (visual taste, UI/UX) and engineering (TypeScript, React, CSS).
