Do you enjoy working across organizations and scaling programs? Join us as a Credit Risk Analyst in Amazon B2B Payments & Lending. The Credit Strategy and Operations team is seeking a smart, motivated, and analytical individual to support underwriting and portfolio management for Pay by Invoice (PBI) in international expansions. Key Responsibilities
Underwrite small‑to‑medium credit applications. Evaluate portfolio risks across worldwide portfolios, monitor and create risk metrics. Support the launch and scaling of credit operations in new and emerging markets. Improve underwriting processes to increase efficiency and strengthen risk mitigation. Contribute to underwriting/credit strategies across portfolio and customer sub‑segments. Assist in defining policies and product features for automated and manual credit decisioning and monitoring. Establish, constantly improve, and be a thought leader for a credit adjudication and performance monitoring platform. Develop processes, mechanisms, and SOPs to grow efficiently and at scale. Review complex credit decisions that require manual reviews or exceptions. Participate in program operations, partner with product managers, and contribute to team‑wide improvement goals. Manage relationships with key stakeholders and cross‑organizational teams on high‑priority initiatives.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent. Experience providing and communicating strategic and tactical recommendations based on data. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time. 4+ years of experience in underwriting and credit risk management. Experience with SQL and working with complex datasets.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree or MBA in finance, accounting, or related field. 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics. Fluent in Spanish (speak, write, read). Experience managing a credit risk program for an unsecured lending portfolio.
