We are currently seeking a Application Engineer to join our dynamic team in Castel Guelfo (BO), Italy!

Deliver expert technical support and training to customers and Sales teams for IT Systems products and solutions, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Take ownership of technical leadership in complex Multi-Line-of-Business projects and proactively coordinate with Application Engineering teams across departments.

Engage, support, and collaborate with third-party suppliers for technical solutions in Multi LOB projects, enhancing our solutions portfolio and ensuring seamless integration.

Offer pre-sales technical guidance to Sales teams in developing proposals, quotes, and tenders, ensuring customer needs are met with competitive and tailored solutions.

Provide strategic technical expertise for medium-scale projects and key accounts throughout EMEA and worldwide, working closely with Sales to drive our growth and impact.

Develop innovative and cost-effective applications for IT Systems products, customizing solutions to fulfill unique customer requirements when standard offerings are not sufficient.

What kind of work will you be doing?

• Build and maintain strong relationships between Sales teams and Line of Business, encouraging collaboration and mutual growth.
• Serve as a trusted advisor, managing and maintaining relationships with customers, partners, and consultants across EMEA and worldwide.
• Attend customer meetings alongside Sales managers as a technical expert, providing valuable insights and expertise.
• Create engaging product and application presentations for customers and consultants, showcasing the value of our offerings.
• Regularly visit consultants, building meaningful relationships and collaborating to develop effective solutions.
• Deliver technical training for sales teams and customers, empowering them with valuable knowledge and skills.
• Organize and host events and webcasts to showcase Vertiv products and technologies, engaging diverse audiences and inspiring interest in our solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management and Sales teams to provide feedback on current products and contribute ideas for new product development.
• Monitor the market for emerging trends and competitor activities, ensuring we remain at the forefront of industry innovation.
• Continuously develop your knowledge and expertise in IT SYSTEMS solutions, contributing to your professional growth and our collective success.

What will make you successful?

• Educational Background: We seek candidates holding a bachelor’s degree in engineering, with a focus on electrical, electronics, telecommunication, or computer systems. Your academic achievements will provide a strong foundation for success in this role.
• Professional Experience: Ideal applicants will bring extensive hands-on experience with IT SYSTEMS products and installation, particularly within Datacenter environments or similar settings. A minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience is required, positioning you as a valuable asset to our team.
• Desirable Additional Expertise: Experience in Thermal and Power systems, especially within Data Center or equivalent environments, is highly valued and will further set you apart as a candidate.
• Broader Industry Insight: We welcome candidates who have developed solid experience in adjacent markets and held similar positions. Your diverse background will enrich our team and drive continued innovation.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in the local language and fluent English, both written and verbal, are essential for effective communication and collaboration in our global environment.
• Strong IT Skills: Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, combined with a customer-centric and sales-oriented mindset, will support your success in this role.
• Communication & Presentation: Outstanding communication and presentation abilities are highly valued, enabling you to convey complex concepts with clarity and engage audiences effectively.
• Requirement Engineering: A strong background in requirement engineering will empower you to translate customer needs into actionable solutions.
• Technical Drawing Skills: Proficiency in conceptualizing and creating technical drawings using Visio or CAD will be instrumental in supporting project planning and execution.
• Demonstrated commitment to understanding and anticipating customer needs, ensuring our solutions consistently exceed expectations.
• Extensive hands-on experience with IT SYSTEMS products, allowing you to contribute immediately and drive impactful results.
