We are looking for a PRODUCT DESIGNER to join the Helmet R&D Department.

Posizione

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES

• Under the supervision of the Chief Designer, who will define product mood and construction guidelines and will provide the design concept, the Designer delivers executable artworks of the complete helmet.
• Following Project Leader's input on technical features and safety constraints and with the advice of the Chief Designer, the Designer reviews the artworks and makes the necessary implementation. The process is re-iterated until final approval.
• The Designer supports the CAD 3D engineer in the construction of the 3D files. Whenever necessary – because of mechanical needs or mass production requirements – and in agreement with the Project Leader, the Designer makes the necessary changes to the artwork and gets the approval of the Chief Designer.
• The Designer attends the presentation of the mock-ups/prototypes, collects comments from the stakeholders and takes care of the definition of all helmet details (finishing of visible items, surface textures, parts matching etc.) until the helmet style is approved (design freeze).
• After the design freeze the Designer supports the CAD engineer along the engineering/industrialization process, ensuring adherence to the approved style and cohesive visual identity with the Alpinestars’ brand values.

Requisiti

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Education background in design.
• Highly developed skill set in designing with Adobe suite and rendering creation.
• 3 or more years of experience in the field of automotive or product design (preferably motorcycling/cycling helmets);
• Ability to work with 3D CAD (Alias, Blender, Catia) is a plus.
• Fluency in English.
