About the role:

JOB TITLE: Senior Finance Accountant
LOCATION: Milan (Hybrid)
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent, full time
SALARY RANGE: €32,000 – €38,000 gross/year

What you will do

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to provide a clear picture of WeRoad’s financial health.

• Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoicing, payments, and collections, ensuring smooth cash flow management.

• Support budgeting and forecasting, analyzing variances to inform strategic decision-making.

• Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and accounting standards, while supporting external audits.

• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline accounting operations.

• Partner with teams across the organization to deliver financial insights that support business initiatives.

• (Nice to have) Mentor and support junior members of the accounting team.

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of 5 years in accounting or finance, with a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Professional certifications (CPA, CMA, ACCA) are a plus.

• Technical Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency, strong knowledge of accounting software, and familiarity with ERP systems (Business Central is a strong plus). Solid knowledge of Italian GAAP (OIC); IFRS knowledge is a plus.

• Analytical & Problem-Solving: Data-driven, detail-oriented, with strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to solving problems.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial data in a simple, clear way to non-financial stakeholders.

• Collaborative mindset, proactive and accountable, flexible and adaptable in a fast-changing environment, curious and eager to grow in a scale-up.

• High level of English, written and spoken.
