We are recruiting for one of our clients a IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) System Administrator / Expert Role We are looking for a senior IBM WebSphere Application Server (WAS) System Administrator / Expert, with hands-on, day-by-day operational experience on IBM middleware environments. This is a strongly system-oriented role. Profiles with only generic Java or application-level exposure to WAS will not be considered. Key Responsibilities ? Installation, configuration and administration of IBM WebSphere Application Server in enterprise environments ? Management of WAS Network Deployment (ND) architectures : ? Cell ? Deployment Manager ? Node / Node Agent ? Clusters ? JVM, thread pool and connection pool tuning and optimization ? Configuration of security (SSL, certificates, LDAP integration) ? Performance monitoring and advanced troubleshooting on production issues ? Support to upgrade and migration activities across WAS versions ? Close collaboration with infrastructure and application teams in mission critical contexts Remote work activities.

Competenze richieste : Mandatory Technical Requirements ? At least 3–4 years of hands-on, proven experience as WAS System Administrator ? Strong, practical experience on IBM WebSphere Application Server ? Versions : WAS 8.5.x / 9.0 (Network Deployment) ? Solid experience on : ? Linux / Unix environments ? Log analysis and root cause analysis ? High availability and enterprise-grade setups ? Experience in regulated, enterprise environments (banking / financial services is a plus) Nice to Have ? Experience with IBM HTTP Server (IHS) ? Experience with IBM MQ ? Familiarity with automation and scripting (bash, wsadmin) Certifications (strongly preferred) ? IBM Certified System Administrator – WebSphere Application Server ? Other IBM middleware certifications
