Spanish Teacher(Tk – 8th)
St. Mark School is seeking a full-time Spanish instructor to teach TK-4th grade for the 2024-2025 school year. SMS takes pride in its strong academic program. Job Description :
Candidates must possess the ability to teach Spanish Language and Culture grades Tk -4th Grades. The ideal candidate must be able to provide an introductory immersive experience in the target language through Multimodal Learning (visual, auditory, reading & writing & Kinesthetic) and responsive instruction. In addition, interested candidates should demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate and culturally responsive curricula, establish a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for all students. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, demonstrate strength in the integration of technology to enhance Spanish instruction and apply knowledge regarding best instructional practices in teaching world languages.

Requirements
Applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish, although applicant with a Single subject Language credential or a degree in Linguistics will also be considered. We particularly encourage applicants with knowledge of ACTFL Standards or CEFR (Common European Framework for Languages).

The rate of pay offered to the selected candidate is based on internal pay policy and budget. New hires are commonly paid at the minimum of the wage range or within the lower part of the range. We consider a number of factors when making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, training and other department needs.
